GreenPath offers free credit counseling and debt counseling to help ease your financial stress, address your financial concerns, and develop a financial plan.
Debt Management
The Debt Management Program is designed to pay off your debt in 3-5 years, while helping you develop sound financial literacy.
Housing Counseling
Facing foreclosure, looking for rental counseling, considering a reverse mortgage or home purchase? HUD-certified counselors provide trusted support to handle housing challenges.
Affiliations & Partners
GreenPath shares resources with like-minded organizations. We have affiliations with Clarifi, Homeownership Preservation Foundation (HPF) and Rural Dynamics, and we are growing our affiliates and partners.
Greenpath is affiliated with Clarifi, a nonprofit credit counseling and housing organization based in Philadelphia, PA.
Together, the organizations offer increased support and guidance for people seeking to reduce debt, improve credit, save money, purchase a home, or keep their current home.

GreenPath has affiliated with the Homeownership Preservation Foundation (HPF) to guide and support people’s dreams of home ownership.
HPF is an independent, national, nonprofit organization. It guides people who want to buy a home and assists people who have trouble paying their mortgage and might lose their home.

HPF offers counseling, education, coaching and money management tools for homebuyers, renters or homeowners.
People look to HPF for their knowledge in affordable housing, homeownership, financial stability and community development. HPF also runs the Homeowner’s 995-HOPE™ Hotline, 888-995-HOPE™. Since 2007, more than nine million people have called the hotline to avoid foreclosure and stay in their homes.
GreenPath and HPF believe everyone should have a place to call home and the ability to achieve their financial dreams. We share services and resources to better serve people in all phases of homeownership.
Since its start in 1968, Rural Dynamics (RDI) has provided direct services such as credit counseling and coaching to help people achieve financial independence. RDI also provides tax preparation and small credit builder loans, and manages community programs.

RDI’s credit counseling and financial education services is provided under the GreenPath brand. Charitable and community programs are provided under the RDI brand.
Rural Dynamics, Inc. helps individuals and families achieve financial security and pursue economic opportunities. RDI provides direct service programs such as counseling, coaching, lending, and tax preparation as well as indirect strategies such as coalition building and policy advocacy. Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Puerto Rico, Inc. (CONSUMER) is a private not-for-profit, mission-driven and community-based organization founded on October 11, 1990 under the laws and regulations of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

CONSUMER is licensed by the Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions (OCIF) as an organization dedicated to providing advice, counseling,financial planning and debt consolidation plans.
CONSUMER was created to educate consumers regarding the proper management of financial assets and negotiate with creditors as necessary, thereby avoiding the reporting of clients to a collection agency.
Since its founding, CONSUMER has provided financial counseling and education to clients based around sound money management principles. It follows a mission to educate and advise consumers and other entities so that they can responsibly reach their financial goals. The Agency has its main branch and principal offices located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Central Florida.
Throughout the years, the Agency has helped thousands of individuals and families to retake control of their personal finances by educating and assisting them, among other things, in restructuring their debts with their creditors. As part of these services, the Agency offers solutions to the current financial problems of its customers and, in many cases, the Agency provides assistance to enroll them in debt management plans with their respective creditors when applicable.

Kristen Holt, President & Chief Executive Officer
Kristen Holt believes that financial wellness is a cornerstone for pursuing our dreams. An experienced leader of business, partnerships, human-centered design processes and collaborations, she inspires GreenPath to rise up as an extraordinary organization that places people at the center of everything we do.

Her vision guides a national team of innovators, partners and affiliated organizations to offer a full suite of financial services that empower all people to lead financially healthy lives.
Kristen is a CPA and earned her MBA from the University of Michigan. She is on the board of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. She credits a family financial upbringing that emphasized savings and living debt-free for starting her on a path to support people to build financial well-being.
Donna McNeill, Chief Operating Officer
As our operational lead, Donna ensures that our services meet the needs of our clients and partners. Her teams establish the processes and systems behind our client experiences and deliver people-centered, respectful experiences that improve financial wellness.

Donna is motivated to empower others to be financially strong and independent. She views her work as enabling people to see new opportunities and hope. As a result, her goal is to help them solve financial challenges so they can focus on their dreams.
Donna draws on more than 25 years of experience at GreenPath and has studied at the Michigan State University Eli Broad School of Business Executive Development Program. Donna holds a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University.
Mick Shinkonis, Chief Financial Officer
Mick Shinkonis, CFA, has been a dedicated member of GreenPath for over 20 years, beginning in customer service and rising to the role of Chief Financial Officer. His deep-rooted passion for GreenPath’s mission of empowering individuals through personal financial education has driven his career.

His extensive knowledge in finance, combined with his hands-on experience in various roles at GreenPath, uniquely positions him to support the organization’s vision. Mick understands the challenges faced by those seeking financial guidance and is committed to developing innovative solutions to meet their needs.
His journey from customer service to CFO reflects his dedication and deep understanding of GreenPath’s operations, ensuring the organization remains a trusted resource for personal financial wellness and stability.
Sireesha Mandava, Chief Information Officer
Sireesha Mandava leads information technology (IT) and innovation initiatives that best serve GreenPath’s stakeholders and pave the path for future services that support our mission.

She is passionate about innovation through technology and actively works on developing high-performing teams to support and improve GreenPath’s technology foundation.
Sireesha is a seasoned technology professional with over two decades of experience in building and managing global information technology solutions. Prior to Greenpath, in addition to managing IT applications, she championed the innovation and strategy to create and grow a SaaS start-up in a global company.
Sireesha holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS, India.
Susan Murphy, Chief People Officer
Susan Murphy serves as GreenPath’s Chief People Officer, drawing on her passion for human-centered design and coaching to foster and grow an inclusive GreenPath culture that connects people to be their whole selves at work.

Susan most recently served as Vice President of Human Resources, Organizational Development and Governance at United Way for Southeastern Michigan. Prior to joining United Way, Susan held roles in human service organizations in the areas of youth development, vocational training and rehabilitation, employment coaching, and senior services.
Susan earned her master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University and holds certifications through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and International Coach Federation (ICF). She is passionate about helping others develop, grow, lead more successfully, and ultimately increase their personal and professional satisfaction.
Rick Bialobrzeski, Chief Business Development Officer
Rick Bialobrzeski leads GreenPath’s marketing and education teams, as well as strategic partnerships, with a focus on researching and developing collaborations that are win-win-win: good for our clients, good for our partners, good for us.

He works to maximize GreenPath’s reach so we connect more people with quality resources and information to support their financial wellness journey. He believes that financial wellness can be life-changing for millions of Americans.
Rick brings a background in consulting, communications and systems engineering, combined with more than 20 years of expertise in financial wellness to his work. He also regularly puts his experiences as a team player and hockey coach to the test, bringing out the best in all of us. Rick graduated from Bowling Green University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Rod McGinniss, Senior Vice President of Business Development
Rod McGinniss leads business development for GreenPath and Homeownership Preservation Foundation. He is responsible for developing strategies and solutions to bring financial wellness services to mortgage lending institutions.

Rod makes the business case for financial wellness. His work opens doors for us to partner with financial services businesses to improve financial health and strengthen the housing finance industry, while also supporting a more sustainable society.
Rod has more than 30 years of experience in mortgage finance and capital markets, and has held senior leadership roles in business development, sales, institutional investor management, and mortgage asset trading. He holds a BS in business management from the University of Maryland and completed the NeighborWorks / Harvard Kennedy School Achieving Excellence Executive Leadership Program.
David Flores, Director of Client Services & Program Performance
David oversees the entire client-facing world of our workforce — from the team that handles the very first call a client makes to us, to the people that advise and support our clients as they work to meet their financial goals.

David also oversees the Quality Assurance team. This team ensures that our team members are providing our clients with a world-class financial wellness experience. David knows first hand the importance of financial literacy, access to opportunities and seeing possibilities. He is especially driven to connect with people who have limited access to the things they need to be financially healthy.
David is a graduate of the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center of Touro College and earned his bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University where he managed Coach Izzo’s basketball team and developed a treasure trove of basketball stories and analogies that still come in handy today.
