
About the Contest
GreenPath Debt Solutions, along with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), is sponsoring the 2010 Be Money Wi$e National Financial Literacy Poster Contest. The contest is being offered as a way to educate and build awareness with our young people on sound money management and financial responsibility. The contest also provides a creative outlet for students to express themselves.
Theme:
"$mart Money Choices = A Brighter Future"
Eligibility
The 2010 NFCC National Poster Contest will feature three grade categories:
Elementary - 3rd through 5th Grades
Middle - 6th though 8th Grades
High School - 9th through 12th Grades
Specifications
Posters may be between 8 ½" by 11" and 11" by 17" in size (11" by 17" is preferred.) All posters must be submitted on white paper/stock. Original and computer-generated artwork is accepted.
Labeling
All posters must be labeled with the following information (see entry form):
Student's Name
Student's Grade
Student's School Name and Address
School Telephone
Sponsoring Teacher's Name (if applicable)
Parent Name
Home Address, Phone and Email
Name of NFCC Member Agency Where Poster was Entered
Agency Location
Student T-shirt Size (and whether kids or adult size)
Deadline
Posters must be submitted to GreenPath no later than February 15, 2010.

Judging
Posters will be judged on expression of the theme (40%); artwork style and content (30%); and creativity (30%).
Note: Upon submission, all posters will become property of GreenPath Debt Solutions and/or the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, which reserves the right to reproduce.
Prizes
GreenPath Grade Category Winner: $100 savings bond and a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card. The winner in each grade category will be submitted to the NFCC as a national finalist to compete in the national contest.
GreenPath Grade Category Runner-Up: $25 Barnes & Noble gift card.
National Finalists: Commemorative t-shirt acknowledging their achievement.
National Grade Category Winners: Finalist t-shirt, an award plaque and $100 savings bond.
National Winner: Finalist t-shirt, an award plaque, a $500 savings bond, and an all-expense paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, DC. The National Winner will be officially recognized in Washington, DC in April 2010 as part of National Financial Literacy Month celebrations.
